It’s International Mountain Day!
Okay, this was announced in my planner, but I connected to it and this scene came to mind immediately:
We’ve hiked to Lake Isabelle in the Indian Peaks Wilderness our last two visits to Colorado. I’m sorry I don’t know the exact mountain names here on the Continental Divide. They certainly aren’t the tallest in the area, but the wildflowers here are always spectacular. I love the peace that comes with being in the mountains.
I love the mountains over the beach–readers will probably notice that the stories in my Windborne series mention the mountains more than the beaches, and it’s set on an ISLAND!
