Redbud in Bloom!

Do the redbud trees seem fuller than usual this year? Or is it that we are just ready for spring?

I can’t stand how pretty these blossoms are this year–and on my very own tree! We kept a volunteer that sprouted about six years ago and now it’s as tall as the house… and even supporting housing for others!

The carpenter bees are all over it and, when I look closer, so are the smaller bees, probably mining and mason bees I’ve seen nesting in the area.

Please consider native trees for your yard, and for the bees!
