Sad news

Friends, it’s with great sadness we relay our Copper has passed. He had a tumor removed last spring, but the aggressive cancer had already moved into his lungs and more recently his bones. We had months longer with our senior pup than expected, a total of 14. He was as loveable and laid back as the rescue had promised, touching our hearts and those of everyone who met him.

It’s been heartbreaking. Each hour has so many reminders of how he filled our days. Back on his January 16th #GotchaDay I posted photos of his year with us. Have you seen that Tiktok meme asking how many photos of your dog are on your phone? Yes, it’s hundreds, but I’ll stick to a few new ones here.

Snuggles are the best.

Copper was the sweetest dog and perfect for us. I truly felt we won the dog-match lottery.
