Six Sentence Sunday – #6

Posted August 26, 2012 by Laurel Wanrow in Writing, YA Novels / 0 Comments

Sunday is upon us again, and so is Six Sentence Sunday!

I’m continuing excerpts from my YA fantasy romance Seaside Sorcery, featuring a hotshot witch’s clashes with the winged wizards of a hidden enclave on the Scottish coast.

Coral’s rival Spike is put out by her refusal to set a time to duel him and tries to blow her time with the new warlock in town, Ty.

“What’s she got over you that you’re ferrying her around?”
“Not a thing,” Ty said evenly. At Spike’s doubting grunt, he asked, “It doesn’t occur to you someone might want to ferry around a pretty girl for the fun of it?”
“Coral?” Spike burst out laughing. “You have a lot to learn, newbie.”
