Travel and an Interview

I’ve missed my regular posting because I’m off in vacay-land with the family in Colorado. We’ve had some terrific elk viewing while camping in Rocky Mountain National Park.

It’s the elk rut season and they are more gathered into herds and visible down in the valleys than at any other time of year.

We also had a few encounters with another park ungulate — Mule deer.

They all seemed to have had twins this year! Throw in that the aspen are changing…

and the full moon dominated the night sky,

and it’s a pretty perfect time to be in the mountains!

In the meantime, I’ve been interviewed by fellow YA fantasy author Jean Lee on her blog, Jean Lee’s World. We talked about researching historical periods for my steampunk series, The Luminated Threads, as well as attending conventions. Check out Jean’s interview here!
