Wizarding World Plants

This is very geeky, but I have to gush about the plantings at Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World. Specifically, I really liked the entrance to the Hogwarts castle.

Isn’t this waiting line lush!

I doubt you’ll find anyone else posting photos of their Universal Studios vacation and raving about the ferns and club moss, but here you go: my vacation plant photos!

Thankfully, we didn’t actually have to wait in this area, so I trailed behind my family to capture evergreens…

ferns…

clubmosses…

Once at the castle, the queue enters an herbology greenhouse.

Tucked into a corner is a caged area of…

Mandrakes! Quick, cover your ears!

From here, the queue continues into the castle and its wonders. Another amazing outdoor area was Hagrid’s Hut.

Hagrid was ready for Christmas–note his huge tree and wreath–as was the rest of this wizarding world!

May your holidays be as magical!
